Updates to Document Approvals: More Control and Enhanced Visibility

This month, we’re rolling out updates to Rabbet’s Document Approvals feature, giving you greater control and clearer context throughout the approval process.

Document Approvals Main View

Under Project Settings, you’ll see a redesigned interface that provides an overview of all existing Document Approval Workflows.

From this view, you can easily manage all workflows and enable or disable them as needed.

Creating a New Approval Workflow

To set up a new approval workflow, start by selecting the document type. You can then add reviewers either by copying them from an existing workflow or by manually adding them.

You’ll be able to set the reviewer’s Min and Max thresholds, configure how many reviewers are required and enable the workflow once it’s ready.

 Next, choose how this workflow should apply to unapproved documents and future uploads in addition to any unfunded and all draws.

Back in the main Document Approval Workflows view, you can set a requirement that all documents must be approved before your team can send invoices or pay applications to your AP system or accounting partners.

How the Document Approval Process Works

Under the Documents tab of a project, you’ll see a list of all documents along with their approval status. You can click the Approve button directly from this view.

Also, you’ll find additional context while hovering over each status, such as who has approved and who still needs to approve.

You can also use the Collaboration button to filter and view documents specifically needing your approval.

Configuring Email Notifications

In the Notifications tab, you can control how often you receive the Document Approvals Digest email. These emails summarize the number of documents pending your review, organized by project.
